David Teale joined Excellence North West in October 2006 and became Chief Executive of North of England Excellence in April 2007.

David's career includes over 30 years working with the Manchester Airports Group in various Board roles including Managing Director, Manchester Airport Aviation Services and Chair Humberside Airport. David also led the teams that secured planning permission for and built Manchester's Second Runway.

He is also Chair of Solutions SK, Chair of Parkway Green Housing Trust and a Non-Executive Director of the NHS Business Services Authority.

David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development
