Richard Lloyd-Mullen

Richard previously held a variety of Board and senior management roles during a 20 year career at a profit orientated clothing organisation. These roles were focussed upon customer service, customer focus, quality, operations, distribution, supply chain, and design. Richard was fundamental in the development of that organisation from £500K turnover with 10 staff in 1984 to £25M with 300 staff in 2003 and started to drive the concepts and principles of Excellence through the organisation from 1996.

Richard went on to lead the organisation to achieve:

  • Unisys/Management Today Service Excellence Award (2001)
  • North West Business Excellence Award (2000)
  • Brian Redhead Award (2000) (for services and support of the wider community)
  • Inside UK Enterprise Best New Host Award (2000)

In 2003, Richard was a lead assessor for the North West Business Excellence Awards and in 2004 Richard supported Excellence North West by heading up the management and delivery of the Awards process.

Richard re-joined Excellence North West in April 2005 and is a Fellow of The RSA (The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers & Commerce) and a Member of The CQI (The Chartered Quality Institute), a Chartered Quality Professional and a Master of Science in The Management of Quality Excellence.

Richard Guest Lectures at a number of Universities and Business Schools and is in demand as a Conference Speaker.
